Do I need an account?

No. Dead Letters has no sign-in, no registration and no account of any kind. You download the game and start solving.

Can I play without the timer?

Yes. Every puzzle can be played in Relaxed Mode, which has no countdown and no failure state — the zombie stays safely in its cage. And if an Escape Mode attempt ends badly, you can carry the same puzzle on in Relaxed Mode without losing the letters you entered.

Where is my progress stored?

Puzzle progress, best times, statistics and settings are stored locally on your device. Nothing is kept on a server. Deleting the app may delete this data.

What information does the game collect?

Nothing personal. There is no account and no advertising. To improve the puzzles, the game sends a small set of anonymous gameplay events — for example that a puzzle was started or completed, and how long it took — to an EU-hosted analytics service. These events cannot identify you, and the game works fully offline.

Which devices does it work on?

Dead Letters is out now on iPhone, built for one-handed portrait play. An Android version is planned to follow.
